
Skender Adds Two Shareholders, Announces Executive and Management Promotions
Skender today announced the appointment of two new shareholders along with four executive and senior management promotions, acknowledging their high performance and positive contributions to the firm. Skender is a leadership-owned business and committed to advancing the careers and financial position of its people.
The new Skender shareholders are:
Ryan Cotter, Preconstruction Executive. Ryan joined Skender in 2016 and is known for his strategic mindset, collaborative approach and steady leadership during the earliest phases of a project. A trusted partner to clients and trade partners, he brings clarity and foresight to complex preconstruction efforts, helping teams align early and set projects up for success.
Lauren Torres, Project Executive. Since joining Skender in 2013, Lauren has built a reputation as a thoughtful, results-driven leader with a strong commitment to quality and client experience. She has played a key role in delivering some of downtown Chicago’s most notable corporate interiors and is known for elevating both projects and teams through confident, collaborative and strategic leadership.
The four executive and senior management promotions are:
Tony Scott has been promoted to Project Executive, from Senior Project Manager. Since joining Skender in 2015, Tony has consistently been a steady, trusted and creative leader. Well respected by colleagues and partners alike, Tony leads projects with consistency, thoughtfulness and a deep commitment to team success.
Marty Barrett has been promoted to Senior Project Manager, Team Leader, from Senior Project Manager. Since joining Skender in 2017, Marty has led teams across offices, markets and project types — Chicago and Indianapolis, healthcare and office, renovation and new construction. His versatility, experience and steady leadership make him a go-to resource for teams and clients alike.
Taylor Betthauser has been promoted to Senior Project Manager, from Project Manager. Since joining Skender in 2018, Taylor has been closely involved in the growth and execution of numerous healthcare projects, including several for Northwestern Medicine and Ann and Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital.
Brian Eddy has been promoted to Senior Project Manager, from Project Manager. Brian joined Skender in 2022 and is known for applying his strong technical skills across a wide range of interiors projects. Brian brings deep experience in cost management, design consulting, and electrical and mechanical engineering.
