Ardalan Plaza breaks ground, marking new gateway to Arts & Design District in Carmel, Indiana
Today’s groundbreaking marks an exciting milestone for our city. Ardalan Plaza represents Carmel’s continued commitment to thoughtful growth, artistic vibrancy and a strong economy. It will create a welcoming and architecturally significant entry point to our Arts & Design District.
Carmel Mayor Sue Finkam
Located at 311–331 W. Main Street, on the north half of the block between 3rd Avenue SW and 4th Avenue SW, Ardalan Plaza will encompass 8,000 square feet of retail and gallery space on the first floor, five luxury condominiums on the second floor and a private residence with a rooftop terrace spanning the third floor.
Designed to evoke the elegance of an Italian villa, the building will feature decorative columns, cornices and balustrades. A new alley is planned, providing increased access to the property and further enhancing its functionality. As an architecturally significant cornerstone to Carmel’s Arts & Design District, Ardalan Plaza will welcome visitors arriving from the west as they pass the iconic fountain located at the roundabout on West Main Street and 4th Avenue SW.
The project is a collaboration between the Carmel Redevelopment Commission and the Ardalan family, supported by Skender Construction, Studio M Architecture and Planning and KBSO Consulting Engineers.
We’re proud to be part of a project that will enhance Carmel's Main Street and contribute to the city's continued economic growth.
